Local runners to take part in Virtual London Marathon
Matt Legg is to run the Virtual London Marathon to raise funds for the Noonan Syndrome Association, in memory of his brother Mark.
Back in April we reported on the ‘Running Bride’, as Anna Davey ran through the village in her wedding dress to raise over £1,000 for the Association of NHS Charities. The athletes of Southwater are yet again donning their running shoes to raise money for a great cause, with Matt Legg completing a ‘Virtual London Marathon’ to raise funds for the Noonan Syndrome Assocation.
The virtual marathon will take Mark the 26.2 miles from Southwater to Goring, along with seven other keen runners raising much needed funds for a great cause. Matt has chosen the Noonan Syndrome Association as sadly in April 2019 he lost his younger brother Mark to the condition, and since has been trying to raise awareness and funds to support the charity. The event is a non-official, socially distanced run, however Matt and the other runners would be delighted if people wanted to join them for the full distance, part of the route, or even just to come along and cheer them from start to finish.
The run is expected to take place on 4th October 2020.
Good luck for the run Matt!
